Reflection
Through our Senior Saver Project, our group was able to learn a lot about the process of designing a product for a population that we are not members of - the senior community
This was not an easy task at hand. Through our user interviews we were able to gather information surrounding the senior population and their relationship with technology. We had to design a product that would be easy to use and serve the same purpose as a personal assistant/ caretaker.

We ran into a lot of problems when it came to making these two goals meet. For these problems, we approached them with a similar idea in mind - we approached these challenges in the perspective of seniors. It is important for designers to understand the audience for their product and not to design a product that is beneficial to yourself but to the people it is intended for. An example of this was when we converted our homepage from a monochromatic gray theme to a colorful theme. With the implementation of colors, the user is better able to distinguish our watch's functions and provides a better experience for the user. This was an important methodology that we adapted as we continued our design.

While it is important to understand the audience and focusing on design empathy, another important aspect when it comes to designing a large scale product, is the quality of teamwork. Our group was able to excel in this category. We would often come to unanimous agreements on features and ideas but there would come times where we had conflicts regarding design choices. As a team, it is important that you are able to voice your opinion regarding a change to design or an implementation of a new feature. Instead of putting each other down, we would incorporate ideas and build off of them in our designs. We also learned the importance of communication between the group due to operating virtually and never having the chance to meet in person. Through our strong communication skills our group was able to stay on top of our work and focus on creating a great product.

To conclude, through our strong teamwork and our design minds oriented on providing ease and relief to the seniors, we were able to create an accessible, beneficial accessory for the senior population.
